Jeevamrit is a fermented liquid bio-stimulant used in natural farming to enhance soil fertility and microbial activity. It is prepared using locally available cow-based inputs and natural ingredients. Jeevamrit improves soil health, increases nutrient availability, and promotes sustainable crop growth without the use of chemical fertilizers.
- 200-liter water
- 10 kg Desi Cow dung
- 10 Liter Cow urine
- 2 kg Besan
- 2 kg Jaggery
- Handful of bund soil
Preparation Method
- Take 200 litre water in a plastic drum for one-acre farmland.
- Add 10 litre cow urine preferably desi cow urine in the above barrel filled with water
- Add 10 kg Desi Cow dung in the above solution.
- Add 2 kg Jaggery into the above solution.
- Add 2 kg any Pulse flour preferably besan in the above solution.
- Add handful of rhizospheric soil in the above solution.
- Stir all the above ingredients well using a wooden stick by rotating in clockwise direction.
- Keep the barrel covered with jute bag. Keep this solution quite stable for 48 hours for fermentation under shade.
- Now filter the mixture with muslin cloth and filtered solution is ready for spraying.
Usage
- Soil Application: Apply through irrigation channels or mix with water and apply to soil.
- Frequency: Once every 7–15 days, depending on crop stage.
- Dosage: 200 liters per acre.
- Crop Suitability: Suitable for all crops including cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruits, and ornamental crops.
- Shelf-life: 10 -12 days
