Neemastra: Natural Pesticide for Sustainable Farming

Neemastra is a natural, eco-friendly pesticide made primarily from neem leaves and cow-based products. It is used in organic and natural farming to control a wide range of insect pests, aphids, and fungal infections without harming beneficial insects or the environment. Neemastra strengthens the plant’s immunity and ensures safe, chemical-free crop production.

Ingredients

  • Water – 100 litres
  • Desi cow urine – 10 litres
  • Desi cow dung – 2 kg
  • Neem leaves with tender stems – 5 kg

Preparation Method

  • Take 5 kg of green leaves of neem or take 5 kg of dried fruits of neem and keep the leaves or fruits crushed.
  • Add this crushed neem or fruit powder in 100 litres of water.
  • Put 10 litres of cow urine in it and mix 2 kg of cow dung.
  • Stir it with wood and keep it covered for 48 hours.
  • Stir thrice a day and after 48 hours filter the solution with a cloth. Now the spray is ready to use on the crop.

Usage

  • Effective against sap-sucking insects (aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs) and caterpillars.
  • Prepare a 2–3% solution by mixing Neemastra with water.
  • Frequency: Apply every 7–10 days or immediately after pest detection.
  • Shelf-life: 3 months
