Beejamrit is a natural bio-fertilizer and seed treatment solution used in organic and natural farming. It is primarily applied to seeds before sowing to enhance seed germination, protect seedlings from soil-borne pathogens, and improve overall plant vigor. Beejamrit is completely chemical-free and uses cow-based products and natural ingredients to promote sustainable agriculture.
Ingredients
- Water – 20 litres
- Desi cow dung – 5 kg
- Desi cow urine – 5 litres
- Lime – 50 grams
- Bund soil – 200 gram
Preparation Method
- Take 5 kg desi cow dung and wrap it in a cotton cloth.
- Take 20 litre water in bucket and dip the above 5 kg cow dung wrapped in cloth into it.
- Leave it for 12 to 16 hours so that the cow dung extract may come into the water.
- Take 50-gram lime in another container having 1 litre water.
- Now mix the above two preparations and into it and add 200-gram bund soil.
- Add 5 litre of cow urine into it and leave the solution prepared for 8-12 hours.
- After filteration the Beejamrit is ready for seed treatment.
Usage
- For trees, remove the plastic cover and dip the sapling along with soil material or if the soil material is loose, pour the Beejamrutham into the soil material before removing the plastic cover and wait for 30 minutes before planting it in the field.
- Cereals, Millets, all seeds of Gramineae family, Dicot Pulses, Leguminous family seeds, all vegetable seeds, spread the seeds on a plastic sheet and delicately spray the Beejamrit on them and delicately rinse them with hands such that their outer layer doesn’t get spoiled. Let them dry in the shade for 30 minutes and then can be sown.
- Saplings/seedlings: Dip the roots in Beejamrit, wait for 15 to 30 minutes and then can be planted.
- Tubers and Cuttings: Dip them in Beejamrit, remove them and dry them in shade for 15 to 30 minutes and then can be sown.
- Shelf-life- Upto 48 hours
